When a pool has real problems, cracked tile, an aging liner, equipment on its last leg, a shell that’s seen too many summers, it needs more than a facelift. Pool renovation is repair work: we fix what’s broken and bring the pool back to safe, reliable condition.
What we renovate
- Shell repairs and resurfacing for cracked or delaminating finishes
- Liner replacement for vinyl pools past their prime
- Equipment replacement: pumps, filters, heaters, and automation
- Plumbing repairs and leak correction
- Coping, tile, and deck repairs that keep water where it belongs
Why pools wear out faster here
South Louisiana pools work harder than most. The swim season runs long, the sun is intense, storm debris finds its way into everything, and shifting ground can stress shells and plumbing over the years. None of that means your pool is done. It usually means specific parts of it are, and those parts can be fixed.
We start with an honest inspection. If the pool needs a full renovation, we’ll show you why. If it only needs a cosmetic remodel, we’ll tell you that instead. And if a repair doesn’t make financial sense against a rebuild, you’ll hear that from us too, with numbers in writing.
Renovating pools we didn’t build
Most of the pools we renovate were built by someone else, often decades ago. That’s normal. We inspect what’s there, document what needs correcting, and give you a written scope with a schedule. The same crew handles it start to finish, and we pull any permits the work requires.
If your pool has been sitting green, leaking quietly, or running on equipment that sounds like an airboat, call (504) 688-4066. The inspection and consultation are free.

Pool Renovation FAQs

It depends on the size, the materials, and what your site needs for excavation and drainage. You get a written estimate after a free on-site consultation, before any work starts.
How long will the project take?
It depends on the design, permitting, and the weather. You get a written schedule at design approval, and the same crew sees it through to the final walkthrough.
Can you build on South Louisiana's soil and water table?
Yes, they're the first things we design around. Excavation, dewatering, and the structure itself are all engineered for our soil and high water table.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Big Easy Pool Designs holds Louisiana Residential Contractor License #890459 and Commercial Contractor License #3667, both current, and we handle the parish permits for every project we build.
